Three days. Extraordinary surroundings. A world of creative possibilities.
The art of wedding flowers, beautifully considered.
Step into the world of wedding floral design with three inspiring days at our new home, Underley Estate, nestled within the breathtaking Cumbrian countryside.
This is an opportunity to explore the artistry, scale and considered details of wedding flowers, while developing the confidence, technical understanding and practical knowledge to bring your own creative vision to life.
Working exclusively with beautiful British-grown, seasonal flowers and sustainable, foam-free mechanics, you’ll learn to create designs that feel abundant, natural and effortlessly elegant.
From the delicate details of a bridal bouquet to the impact of large-scale installations, each design has been thoughtfully chosen to develop your skills, challenge your creativity and introduce you to the possibilities of wedding floral design.
And with the beautiful grounds and architecture of Underley Estate as our canvas, the setting is every bit as inspiring as the flowers themselves.
What you’ll create
The Bridal Bouquet
An expression of individual style.
Explore the art of creating a beautifully balanced bridal bouquet, with the choice of an elegant upright design or a more romantic, trailing silhouette.
We’ll consider shape, movement, proportion and flower selection, finishing your bouquet with exquisite silk ribbons for that final, considered detail.
The Manor House Archway
Creating impact on a grand scale.
Using the magnificent entrance to Underley Estate Manor House as our backdrop, we’ll work together to transform its doorway with a generous, naturalistic floral installation.
You’ll discover the principles of large-scale design, from structure and mechanics to proportion, placement and flower selection, learning how to create an installation that feels both impactful and entirely at home in its surroundings.
All achieved using foam-free techniques.
Please note we’ll be working here at the Manor House on one of the three days of the course. The house is a short drive across the estate. If you are without transport please don’t worry you will be driven to the house.
The Stone Staircase Installation
A celebration of flowers, architecture and the natural landscape.
The beautiful stone steps leading to Tallulah Rose provide the setting for our final large-scale installation.
Working with the existing architecture, we’ll explore how flowers can transform a space, creating movement, rhythm and a sense of occasion.
An opportunity to think beyond traditional arrangements and discover how to approach installations with creativity, confidence and a considered understanding of scale.
The Wedding Tablescape
Where flowers and thoughtful styling come together.
Against a backdrop of rolling countryside, we’ll create an abundant wedding tablescape using a collection of individual floral designs, each beautiful in its own right, before bringing them together into one cohesive setting.
Layered with carefully selected linens and the soft glow of candlelight, you’ll explore how flowers, texture, colour and styling combine to create an unforgettable atmosphere.
Beautifully captured
We believe the work you create deserves to be remembered.
During the course, a professional model will join us for one day, bringing our bridal designs to life within the beautiful surroundings of Underley Estate.
A professional photographer will be with us across two days, capturing your floral creations, the larger installations and the carefully styled details.
These images will provide a beautiful record of your experience, as well as valuable imagery for your developing portfolio.
Beyond the Flowers
Because beautiful design is only part of a successful wedding flower business.
Alongside the practical elements of the course, we’ll share the essential business knowledge that supports confident, professional wedding work.
We’ll explore:
- Costing and quotations — understanding how to price your work accurately, confidently and profitably.
- Marketing your wedding work — presenting your style, attracting the right clients and communicating the value of your designs.
- Sourcing British flowers — building relationships with growers and understanding seasonal availability.
- Buying and quantities — planning flower requirements, calculating stems and ordering effectively for weddings of different scales.
Our aim is for you to leave not only with new creative skills, but with a clearer understanding of how to translate those skills into real wedding work.
Three days to inspire what comes next.
Whether you’re beginning your journey into wedding flowers, expanding your existing floristry skills or looking to develop greater confidence with larger installations, this experience offers the time, guidance and creative freedom to grow.
With small groups, personal tuition and the opportunity to work in an exceptional setting, you’ll be encouraged to explore your own design style while learning the techniques and principles that underpin beautiful, sustainable wedding flowers.
Come for the flowers. Leave with the confidence to create so much more.
We look forward to welcoming you to Tallulah Rose at Underley Estate.
